Our Training enterprise is organized into three categories of services:
  • Knitting Parlor Assistance. Short demonstrations and information on specific knitting and crocheting techniques based on your specific questions or requests  while you are in our shop. We are prepared to provide this service anytime during normal operating hours on an 'as-needed' basis. This training is in the form of answering questions or short demonstrations requiring no more than 10 minutes.
  • Private Instruction on knitting and crocheting. We provide this service based on your specific requirements. The training is one-on-one and is private. Rates are on an hourly basis and the length of the instruction may vary from one 90-minute session to several sessions spread over a period of several days. Call or e-mail us now to register for your private instruction.
  • Group Workshop (maximum of 6 Individuals per class); average length: two 90 minute sessions in our 'Elsie's Corner' training facility shown below. Workshops will range from one to four sessions where each session may be 90 to 120 minutes.
  • Our training is conducted in 'Elsie's Corner'. We pay homage to the lady who inspired us over the years... my Mother, Elsie. We invite your recommendations for workshop topics and projects. Based on your requests, we will prepare a plan and schedule for our workshops which will be posted here for your convenience.

  • Before a workshop can be scheduled, we will prepare a plan that will identify the objectives of the workshop, the specific skills and techniques that will be covered and the exercises and topics that will be covered during each session of the workshop. Our objectives in a workshop will be made clear to you at the beginning of the workshop and guarantees will be made as to the specific skills and techniques that you will learn by the end of the workshop. A workshop will be organized as a set of sessions.

We plan our workshops seasonally (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and we publish a Workshop Catalog which presents a calendar of all workshops (shown at left)  that will be offered for the season along with the number of sessions that each workshop will include and the dates and times for each workshop. This schedule is also available on the Bayberry Blog. (Left click on Calendar to download and print.)

The  Winter 2010 Workshop Catalog will be available by 15 January 2010.

The Catalog also contains a detailed description of all workshops for the season. Visit this page periodically to see if our Workshop Catalog has changed. The cover page will identify the date of the current revision.  Also checkout our Bayberry Blog for any articles about our "Workshops". While you are there, you can tell us what topics you would like to see in a workshop or question us about specific workshops and lessons.

With the development of workshops, provisions will be made for in-house production of videos of those workshops that may then either be made available to your or used on our web site for on-line training. Along with the workshop plans and training materials, the videos will form part of our growing toolset in our training enterprise.
